How we write our guides
Every guide on this blog starts from Google’s own documentation, and every Google rule it states links to the Google page it comes from.
Where the facts come from
We research each guide in two places: Google’s Business Profile help center and the Google Business Profile Community. The help center says what the rule is. The questions owners ask in the Community decide what a guide covers, because that’s where people say which step went wrong for them.
When a guide states a Google rule, such as the 1,500 character limit on a post, it links the Google page that rule comes from, so you can check it yourself.
What the guides say about our own software
Some guides mention GMB Helper.ai. Every product detail is checked against what the software actually does, and the guides say plainly what it does not do. It doesn’t build citations, for example, and no tool has an API that removes Google reviews, ours included.
We never invent numbers, customers or results
You won’t find a made-up statistic in a guide, or a quote from a customer who doesn’t exist. When a guide needs an example, it uses a made-up demo business such as Northside Plumbing & Drain or Brightwell Electric, and the illustrations show made-up businesses too.
When Google changes a rule or a menu
Google renames Business Profile menus and changes its rules often. When that happens, we update the guide, and the post shows an Updated date under its title, next to the date it was first published.
Found a mistake?
Email support@gmbhelper.ai with the link to the post and what’s wrong. If you have the Google page that shows the right answer, include it and we’ll fix the guide sooner.
Who we are and what the software does is on About GMB Helper.ai. Every guide we’ve published is listed on the blog.
